Bath Bath is a town in the southwest of England famous for many centuries for its health-giving waters, and visited by tourists for old Roman baths and its Georgian buildings. Oxford Oxford is one of the oldest most highly regarded British universities. Students must pass a special examination before they are accepted by the university, and the students who go there often come from public schools. Oxford University is a group of independent colleges, they are 34 now. The university was created in the first years of the13th century when students expelled from the Sorbonne in Paris came to Oxford city monasteries to study. The first college, Merton, was founded in 1264.

Royal Ascot Royal Ascot is a four-day horse-racing event held at Ascot, England each year in June. It is one of the most important racing occasions in Britain and is attended by members of the royal family. The second day of the event is Ladies’ Day and some of the women wear unusual big hats. It is popular among upper-class people.

Stratford-upon-Avon Stratford-upon-Avon is a town in Warwickshire, central England, on the river Avon. It is famous as a birthplace of William Shakespeare and very popular with tourists.

York is a city in Yorkshire, England, known for its chocolate factories, national railway museum and Jorvik Viking Centre. York

Edinburg Scotland is a land of mountains, green valleys, legends and ancient castles. It has beautiful bridges and green parks. Its capital, Edinburgh, is built on the hills more than 340 years ago. There was an active volcano in that area and later there appeared hills on which the Old Town stands. The fortress, Din Eidyn, was built on the top of the rock. The fortress became the Castle of Edinburgh, the national symbol of Scotland. The Palace was the residence of the Scottish kings and queens. There is a unique monument to a dog in Edinburgh. This is a statue of a small terrier, Bobby, that stayed at the grave of his master every day for 14 years.
